ADSp - General German Forwarder Conditions
The General German Forwarding Conditions 2017 (ADSp 2017) are a joint recommendation work of the associations of the shipping industry and forwarding. They continue the tradition, which has existed since 1927, of providing the participating companies from industry and trade as well as the freight forwarding and transport industry with a "ready-made contract policy" for handling all types of freight forwarding business. The new "ADSp 2017" provide even more than previous versions by content-balanced clauses for a reconciliation of interests between the contracting parties.
Even more, the ADSp 2017 will be supported not only by the Federation of German Industries (BDI), Federation of German Wholesale, Foreign Trade, Services (BGA), German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK), German Forwarding and Logistics Association (DSLV) and German Trade Association (HDE ), but for the first time by the Federal Association of Freight Transport Logistics and Disposal (BGL), Federal Association of Furniture Shipping and Logistics (AMÖ) and the Federal Association of Business, Transport and Logistics (BWVL) recommended for non-binding application.
Freight forwarding business is conducted on a regular basis on the basis of this tried and tested condition. The market acceptance of the ADSp is very high. More than 90 percent of German forwarders work on the basis of this clause, which contains contract conditions tailored to forwarding activities. As a result, companies in the shipping industry have the advantage of agreeing on uniform terms and conditions, even if they work together with different forwarding partners.
